Packers Creek Rifle Range

RANGE OPEN - Updated 29/02/2024

**ALL VEHICLES MUST BE WARRANTED, REGISTERED AND HAVE THIRD PARTY VEHICLE INSURANCE WHEN ACCESSING THE RANGE**

Normal opening times Saturday and Sunday mornings, unless an organized shoot is being held. The forest is permanently locked, with access only available weekends under the Forest managers Health & Safety rules. Weekend access requires you to be at the Sharland's creek gate at 9.00am to get in, everyone coming out at 11am. Gate is not continuously manned so have to be there at the time indicated to gain access.

Reminders

• Third Party Vehicle Insurance is mandatory when accessing the Range via vehicle
• Cell phone reception is challenging for Vodafone network but very good for Spark - be aware of this for H&S reasons
• Reminder to all Range users, that while driving inside Hira Forest, it is a requirement to have your vehicles head lights on.
• For those unfamiliar with Packers creek range, there is a toilet available at all times at the back of the club house on the Western side.

Before you head to a range please make yourself familiar with the standing orders and complete and return the Range User Declaration.
