Wairoa Bike Park Hunting with the NZDA

The Nelson Branch has a memorandum of understanding with the Nelson Tasman Mountain Bike Club (NTMBC) for the management of game animals and pests in the park. 

Covering 860 hectares is surrounded by the Mt Richmond Forest Park on three sides with access via the Wairoa Gorge Rd. The park was gifted to the people of NZ via the Department of Conservation with a 40 year lease granted to the NTMBC to operate the park. Over $19 m was spent developing the access, 70kms of MTB trails and facilities on site.

NZDA members can access the Park when it is not in use, this is often evenings after work.
